"A top class dinner at Helena's. We spent ages walking around and finally stopped off at this place. So glad we did. We were greeted by Sbosh who sorted us a table outside, gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco, then served us and incredible two course meal. An incredible night of food, wine and service. Highly recommend."

Excellent food, well presented, and served by an attentive and knowledgeable team - including the wonderful Sbosh who looked after us so well! We’ll be back - and not just because it’s a 20 meter walk from our Hotel - but because we had a lovely evening!"

"Our experience at Helena’s was one of those that you know that a 3-course meal would be too much – but you do it anyway! This was indeed a fine dining experience. Fact is that a lot of restaurants actually just want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. That was not the case at Helena's. A peaceful, relaxed atmosphere – a bit of old-worldly charm without the stuffiness. It’s not often that you get to enjoy a 3-hour dinner! The food and wine was exceptional and we were knuppeldik (stuffed)! Our host was a more than capable restaurant manager with his staff clearly well-trained. Thank you!"

"Whenever I stay at the Coopmanhujis in Stellenbosch I always make a point of dining in their restaurant, Helena's. Normally I like to sit outside but the weather was inclement so I dined inside. These days I travel on my own and the servers always make me feel like a valued guest. They are professional and very friendly. The menu is so varied, there seems to be something that would appeal to everyone. The food was beautifully presented and I never felt rushed. The wine list is very good, I only wanted a glass and there were plenty from which to choose. Thanks again for an excellent time."

For my main, I had the beef short rib, and it was simply outstanding—tender, rich, and cooked to perfection. A special thank you to Gerda, who made our evening truly memorable with her warm, attentive, and exceptional service. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be returning, not only for the incredible food but because of Gerda's outstanding hospitality."
